Souleymane Porgho

Mr. Porgho is a seasoned public health professional with over thirty (30) of experience in Field Epidemiology, Research and health care planning and provision. Mr. Porgho has a very good understanding of Health Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa and particularly that of his home country, Burkina Faso. Mr. Souleymane has served as a focal point for the implementation of Global Heath Security (GHS) activities including Event-based surveillance, surveillance of SARIs and surveillance of arboviruses and Integrated Biological Sample Transport System.
Mr. Porgho has successfully led the implementation several public health Project/Program and served as consultant/ Technical Advisor for both national and international institutions including:
– Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager of Global Health Security (GHS) Projects with Davycas International (2017-2022)
– Since September 2022: consultant for Jhpiego Burkina supporting coordination of both frontline and intermediate levels of Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) and also providing Technical support for strengthening integrated disease surveillance and response (IDSR) in Burkina Faso.
– Since 1996: Provide Mentorship for the FETP fellows (Mentor for 7 basic level cohorts and 4 intermediate cohorts),
– Since 2012 Lecturer at the University, Ingrid and the National School of Public Health. In charge of
courses on concepts and methods in epidemiology
